Description

Detailed description on website.

From the “Beeg Boy” to “Daddy Wags,” former superstars who wielded these (4) professional model weapons were among the game’s elite and often unsung heroes. Includes:

Jose Cardenal 1965-1968 Game-Used Bat: a Hillerich & Bradsby (36.9-oz/36-1/4”) “M114” white ash signature model war club with a flare knob. The prodigious weapon shoes heavy use with ball, bat-rack and stitch marks throughout, as well as a handle crack of 8-1/2”.

Rico Carty 1963-1967 Game-Used Bat: an Adirondack (35.7-oz/35”) “331C” white ash signature model bat. Moderate use is evident with surface marks, checking and grain swelling about the hitting surface, as well as scoring on the handle and an 8” layer of electric tape which may or may not obscure a handle crack.

Del Crandall 1961-1966 Game-Used Bat: an Adirondack (32.9-oz/35”) “24C” white ash signature model bat. Moderate use is evident with bat-rack, surface and cleat marks about the barrel, scoring on the handle and a crack whose length is obscured by a 5-1/2” layer of athletic tape on the handle’s upper portion.

Leon Wagner 1965-1968 Game-Used Bat: a Hillerich & Bradsby (33.5-oz/35”) “S182” white ash signature model showing moderate use with ball and deeply embedded stitch marks about the hitting surface, as well as a crack of just over five inches on the upper portion of the handle.
