With 324 wins and 222 complete games over a 27-year career, Nolan Ryan was durability personified. Obscured by those impressive totals is the fact that Ryan logged four career saves, including a 2-1/3 inning shutdown to preserve Game 3 of the 1969 World Series. Encapsulated and Graded Good 2 by PSA, this full ticket was issued in Queens for that rare Ryan relief appearance. The lone example at its tier with only nine graded higher, this colorful voucher hails from the first-ever World Series game at Shea Stadium, as well as the only Fall Classic appearance by Ryan. The keepsake features printed seating/event details and colorful “Mr. Met” and skyline-themed team logos. Strong perforations, sharp edges/corners and a clean reverse add to the overall appeal.
