The early days of Rock ‘n Roll music gave rise to a new species of pop culture star, the “teen idol”. American Bandstand host/star-maker Dick Clark played an instrumental role in launching the careers of many of these teenage girl scream inducers. Included among the offered lot of (142) “Picture Patches” (MIP) are (12) sets of (7) with idols: Dick Clark, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Darrin, Fabian, David Nelson, Ricky Nelson and Jimmie Rodgers, plus (57) extras with (36) Clark, (11) R. Nelson and (11) Fabian. More on our website.

These unopened packages are vividly colored and feature an image of fawning girl who appears to be dreaming of her idol of the month. Each contains a sealed in cellophane iron-on patch bearing a color portrait image of Clark or one of the six singing boy wonders. Other than some occasional minor rippling, light soiling and a very few with a split cellophane edge, these sealed survivors present handsomely with incredible original details. Also present are a POS store display board in excellent condition and two advertising posters featuring photos of the seven stars, in better grade with deference to one fold and one small tear each.
