All too often lost in the sizable shadow of teammate Michael Jordan, Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen played the supporting role (and played it quite well) on six Chicago Bulls championship squads. These shoes were worn and autographed by the oft-unsung hero during the 1992-93 season. The white leather Nike size “15” accessories feature red “Swoosh” logos sewn to the sides, “Nike Air” embroidered to each heel and a “Flight” logo embroidered to each tongue. On the outer portion of each heel, Pippen has signed in blue marker (“6” strength). Light to moderate game use is evident with scuff marks about the toes and heels, as well as wear about the rubberized soles.
These shoes were obtained by a former Andy Frain usher who worked Bulls games at the Chicago Stadium. A photo taken during the Bulls’ February 7, 1993 game vs. Portland is posted on Getty Images and shows Pippen wearing these shoes. The photo number is 143826401.
