Description

As Major League Baseball expanded westward, professional football followed suit. It wasn’t the NFL relocating its established franchises, but rather, the upstart AFL setting shop in some "left coast" cities and by 1970, the competitors merged to complete a league that to this day remains the most popular in American sports. This lot of (94) publications is headlined by (27) AFL guides. Appealing in their own right as rare survivors, these keepsakes are perhaps most enthralling because of their absolutely stunning condition! With covers and crisp pages intact throughout, the stadium or team-issued guides average (NM) to (EX-MT) quality and include:

1963 AFL Yearbook: 60-page guide with historic accounts of league and its eight teams

1967 ALF All-Star Game Program: issued at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum as participants from nine teams (Miami Dolphins had been added) competed
