Immensely popular Pacific Coast League teams set ample precedent for westward expansion in the big leagues. These (126) publications (plus additional souvenirs) provide a memorable timeline documenting many of those franchises. Comprised mostly of stadium-issued programs and team-issued yearbooks, the lot shows solid condition for the most part. Highlights include:

(4) Seattle Pilots: includes (2) programs from the club’s Cactus League spring training session in Tempe, Arizona (both NM with unmarked scoring grids) - one being the second game ever played by the team!; as well as a 1969 Yearbook from the ill-fated franchise’s only year before becoming the Milwaukee Brewers. The 40-page guide presents (NM). An absolutely spectacular and rare survivor! Finally, a Sicks Stadium program from a regular-season game against the Oakland A’s presents minimally (EX-MT), though we note a very small and faint handwritten notation of the front cover.

(6) San Francisco Seals: all are programs issued at Seals Stadium (average VG with vertical compacting folds). Includes: (3) 1950 (writing on two front covers); 1951 (unmarked scoring grids); 1952 (unmarked scoring grids); 1954 (lineups written but scoring grids unmarked)

(5) San Francisco Giants: average (EX) presentation with:
1959 Seals Stadium-issued program for game vs. Cincinnati Redlegs (as they were referred to during the Cold War and Communist scare); lineups are written in ballpoint, scoring grids remain unmarked

(2) 1960 Candlestick Park-issued programs, including a partially scored guide from a game against the St. Louis Cardinals and a completely scored program from the June 12 game (noted on front cover) against the Milwaukee Braves in which Aaron and McCovey homered as part of a 16-7 Giants romp

1964 Candlestick Park-issued program form the April 14 season opener against the Milwaukee Braves (scoring grids marked and handwritten date on front cover)

1965 Candlestick Park-issued program from April 20 home opener vs. Pittsburgh (unmarked scoring grinds; “opener” written on front cover)

(56) Press Guides: average (EX) to (VG-EX) presentation with keys including:

1969 Seattle Pilots (rare publication from club’s lone season!)

1967 Kansas City Athletics (last season before moving to Oakland)

Additional highlights among the stadium- and team-issued publications include:

1967 Kansas City Athletics Yearbook (presents minimally EX-MT; from team’s final season before moving to Oakland)

(2) 1969 California Angles programs (both NM with unmarked scor9ng grids)

1970 San Diego Padres spring training scorecard (grids unmarked) from Cactus League game vs. Oakland

Additional non-publication highlights include:

1972 World Series Press Credentials Kit: in original envelope with both Oakland Coliseum and Riverfront Stadium Hospitality Room passes
