They called Yankee Stadium “the house that Ruth built”, but the even the mighty “Babe” couldn’t have done it without Jacob Ruppert’s cash, which came in large part from his brewery’s flagship brand “Knickerbocker Beer”. Measuring 15-1/2” in diameter x 5” deep, this handsome promoter presents in excellent condition with a colonial Knickerbocker figure at right. More on our website.
Due to the condition of the original plug end, this item has not been tested to determine its working status. All parts appear to be original with the obverse displaying in truly appealing condition with full slogan/figure paint present. Printed with “Jacob Ruppert, New York, N.Y. No. 1065”, the reverse appears to be outfitted with all original parts. Though the reverse shows light to moderate wear with deference to the above mentioned cord plug end, the overall excellent condition of this sign suggests only minor restoration would be required to get the lighting and spinning functions operable if indeed they are not already in working order.
