You have to do something right to get your face on the $50 bill. Credit and gratitude for preserving the Union are granted to Ulysses S. Grant (d.1885) who served faithfully as Commander of the Army during the Civil War. Signed as “U.S. Grant” on an approximate 3x1 cut (affixed to a 4x4 section of stationery), the 18th POTUS’ endorsement shows remarkable (“9-10”) potency befitting a Chief Executive. Our thoughtful consignor has included a photo of Grant suitable to accompany the signature in framed display. Full photo LOA from JSA.
