Following their 1950 World Series appearance, the Philadelphia “Whiz Kids” suffered a letdown in 1951 finishing a distant fifth to the Giants. The Phillies youth movement showed resiliency however, with many players going on to excellent careers. (29) Members of the ‘51 squad have graced this period signed ONL/Frick ball (EX-MT+) with their signatures (average “4-6”) with (3) lesser. Key signers are: R. Ashburn, J. Konstanty, W. Jones, R. Roberts, E. Waitkus. Auction LOA from JSA. Complete list on our website.
