Detailed description on website.
Accustomed to the spotlight with multiple World Series titles and October heroics in both Oakland and the Bronx, Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson took his show to Anaheim, were he gained further acclaim by eclipsing the 500 Home Run plateau. This Rawlings-Adirondack (31.1-oz/34”) “288RJ” block-letter (full name) bat was issued to and autographed by Jackson during the 1986 season, his last with the California Angels. The uncracked white ash lumber features a glossy black “Smith” finish and is signed by Jackson in silver marker (“9” strength) just above the barrel stampings. There is a silver marker notation of “44” on the knob. The bat shows no evidence of game use. In a full photo LOA, PSA/DNA bat expert John Taube states that “the bat is authentic and was prepped by Jackson during the referenced labeling period.” Auction LOA from JSA (for autograph).
