At the absolute peak of his Hall of Fame career, Mike Schmidt garnered back-to-back MVP laurels and powered the Phillies to the first World Series title in franchise annals. This Louisville Slugger (33.7-oz/35-1/4”) “K55” block-letter war club was wielded and autographed by the hot corner legend during the 1980-1983 labeling period, a span during which the aforementioned feats and a combined 154 home runs were delivered. Excellent game use is evident! Graded GU 8 by John Taube, PSA/DNA. More on our website.
Turned from high-grade white ash during the 1980-1983 labeling period, this (33.7-oz/35-1/4”) “K55” block-letter (last name only) weapon shows excellent game use with ball, cleat, bat-rack and deeply embedded stitch marks throughout, as well as a handle crack which has been secured with a screw. Between the prominent center brand and barrel stampings, Schmidt has signed in black marker (“9” strength). The bat features a cupped end and has a vintage red marker notation of "20" on the knob. Accompanying is a full photo LOA from John Taube, PSA/DNA (for bat use only), as well as an auction LOA from JSA (for autograph only).
