Detailed description on website.
Pacing the Junior Circuit with 39 home runs in 1982, Reggie Jackson found himself yet again in the postseason as the California Angels were the third different team with which “Mr. October” enjoyed a playoff endeavor. These shoes were worn and signed by Jackson likely during that 1982 campaign. The red leather/canvas blend “Pony” accessories feature white accents and manufacturer’s logo stampings on the red leather tongues. Jackson has signed the right side of the right shoe in black marker (“7” strength), while “44” is inscribed on the outer portion of each heel. On the left-side heel portion of the autographed shoe, Jackson has inscribed "Jax" in black marker. While the size identifiers have faded, these appear to be size “12” shoes. Moderate wear is evident with dirt caked about the six metal cleats affixed to the bottom of each shoe. The shoes are style matched to various 1982 Getty Images photos.
