Silver in collectible form is a no-brainer for long-term investors. Bulk up your portfolio with this pair of mid-1970s sets housed in their original display boxes. Featured are: 1974-76 Hamilton Mint “Official Ingots of the United States” set of (50) one troy ounce each .999 fine silver bullion art proofs for a total of (50) ounces of pure silver; and 1976 Franklin Mint “Pro Football HOF Immortals” set of (50) .925 sterling silver mini-medallions. Detailed description on our website.

Were the U.S. State ingots valued solely for their precious metal content the offered set would command significant interest, as silver is hovering around the $15 per ounce point at the time of this writing. Issued by the “Washington D.C. Bicentennial Commission”, these frosty proofs were produced in an LE quantity of 15,000. Displaying gorgeous luster and exquisite details pertinent to the individual States, these absolutely stunning masterpieces are precious metal works of art. Seldom offered as a complete set, these ingots are consistently fetching nearly twice their bullion value as recorded in recent individual piece sales. Each is marked “One Troy OZ .999 F.S.”. Other obverse details are the name of the state capital city and a relief of the capital building along with the order of statehood in raised letters. The reverses are decorated with state particular design elements and the date of statehood. The top edges are engraved with “8439”, indicating the set number. Marked by varying degrees of warm natural toning, these vintage commemoratives retain full original details.

Celebrating gridiron greats of the 1920s-1960s the mini-medallion coin set is highlighted by the presence of Vince Lombardi, “Red” Grange, Jim Thorpe, Paul Brown, Sammy Baugh, Otto Graham and Y.A. Tittle. These 1/2” diameter sterling silver rounds remain like-new with sharp details and brilliant luster marked by minor traces of natural toning.
