Vocal and confident in the face of opponents and critics, alike, Muhammad Ali was appropriately bold in delivering this vintage autograph. Executed in brown crayon on a sheet of 9x6 lined notebook paper, Ali’s signature is as big as we’ve seen, maintaining (“7”) strength and clarity. This keepsake dates to 1968, when the original recipient was a 12-year-old vacationing with his family. On a drive through Chicago’s Southeast side, they spotted Ali in front of his house and he gladly complied with the autograph request. While crayons and notebook paper were the only sources available at the time, this still presents as a unique Ali keepsake! Full photo LOA from JSA.
