Even the power packed duo of Rogers Hornsby and Hack Wilson couldn’t overcome Jimmie Foxx and the mighty 1929 Philadelphia A’s. Scored for the first ever World Series game held at Wrigley Field, this program recounts Game 1 of the ‘29 Series. Featuring a complete and intact string binding, this exciting souvenir remains bright and sturdy. Though fairly unobtrusive creasing near the spine technically limits this colorful publication to a (VG) rating, it remains otherwise highly appealing with fanciful art-deco styling. The elephants proved too much for the baby bruins, steamrolling to a quick five game series victory that totaled less than eleven hours of playing time.
