Description

The last time that this very bat was offered at auction came a decade ago when it sold for over $1,500. Contemporary Victor bats with Federal League brands have sold for almost $2,500. One reason for their desirability is the historical context and how this narrow-barrel design fits into the evolution of bat styles. But with a stellar example such as that seen here, the aesthetic appeal is equally important. The rich, lustrous surface hue; the perfect wood-grain patterning; the deeply, darkly emblazoned branding of "The Victor / No 94 Model 2"—all these aspects together elevate the hefty 31.5", 35-oz. bat to its museum-worthy status. EX-MT condition.
