Detailed description on website.
Having squandered a 10-game division buffer, the 1978 Boston Red Sox could only endure further torment as Bucky Dent (he of 22 career home runs at the time) dashed their postseason hopes with an epic three-run blast to clinch an A.L. East tie-breaker. Framed to 13x19, this display features a Fenway Park ticket stub from that tense battle, as well as an autographed photo. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, the voucher features a likeness of Carl Yastrzemski (who made the final out with the potential tying run on third base). Matted just above, an 8x8 black-and-white photo shows Dent joyfully leaping onto home plate and teammates Roy White and Chris Chambliss offering congratulations as home plate arbiter Don Denkinger looks on. The photo is signed in blue marker by Dent, White and Chambliss (all “9” strength). A PSA/DNA cert/sticker accompany.
