As with Gehrig and Ruth, Allison played under Killebrew's shadow. Bob burst on the scene as 1959 A.L. Rookie of the Year with 30 HRs and 85 RBIs, and based on the design style/uniform number of these stirrups, they could only have been worn in that breakout season or the following year. The garments measure 2 feet long and feature a clubhouse marker notation of Allison's number "26." Light to moderate wear overall. An accompanying 7/28/15 LOA from noted collector Kent Feddeman reads, "These baseball stirrups come from Rookie of the Year, and Washington Senators player Bob Allison. They were obtained by me from long time collector Alan Feinberg."
