Description

While two incarnations of the Washington Senators are widely remembered for woeful play and eternal suffering under the rule of those “Damn Yankees,” this 1924 World Series program is a reminder that there was once glory in the Nation’s Capital. Issued at Griffith Stadium, the 32-page guide features black-and-white player portraits and scorecards with pre-printed lineups and unmarked grids. The front cover shows Senators skipper Bucky Harris shaking hands with President Calvin Coolidge. Shows minor cover wear and age-induced foxing.
