Description

Presented are (41) 1931 Sun Pictures unopened packs averaging (NM) plus six additional opened packs. This pre-war find was one of many do-it-yourself photo kits from the era and includes a film negative, photo paper piece and display stand. Includes (34) pink and (7) kraft packs measuring 2-5/16 x 3-5/8”. Possible baseball players among the series of (144) subjects include Grove, Hartnett, Lazzeri, Pennock, Ruth, Simmons, Vance and Wilson. More on website.

There is no manufacturer information identified on the text of the packaging. The Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards describes this issue as “One of several contemporary kits for do-it-yourself production of photos, this issue was produced in New York City by a firm identified only as “W.S.” Of the opened packs three negatives display President Washington.
