According to our research, the C.C.&B.M.A. betting pool/lottery was run in Albany from 1926 to 1928—at which point the operators were indicted before a grand jury for mail fraud. The C.C.&B.M.A. betting card measures 2-7/8 x 4-3/4" and is partially filled out on the front. A few names are listed amid the previous week's results on the reverse including, curiously, "Babe R." The other betting card measures 3-1/2 x 4-1/4". Both feature all major-league teams and rate crisp NM condition.
