Hobby pioneer and Suffolk County detective Dan Dischley blazed a trail with The Trader Speaks (TTS) from November 1968 through November 1983. It was the premier publication of the hobby's formative years, with each issue hand-typed (except one) and put together manually. Dischley sold TTS to his neighbor Sonny Jackson in 1983 and it survived for a year before being bought by Krause Publications. Presented is the first and only TTS complete run to surface at auction since Dischley's personal copies were sold in 2002 for almost $2,200. The first five issues are very seldom seen, and seven latter-day issues of The NEW Trader Speaks are also included. EX condition overall. This item has a reserve (estimated value $1,000 - 2,000).
