Description

Measuring 8x6 when opened, this simply fascinating vignette captures a vast sea of dapperly dressed fans, overflow seating along the brick side wall, and distant ads for Mail Pouch Tobacco and Ringling Bros. Circus. A copyright line reads, "P. Sander, 1910," and the postmark is dated to August 10, 1911—which coincides with an A's home loss to the Chicago White Sox. There are reverse-side vintage reinforcements along the two folds, also a couple small areas of ink spots on the front. Image quality is superb. This item has a reserve (estimated value $500 - 1,000).
