Description

Refreshingly frank and succinct, Pete Rose announced “I’m just like everybody else: I have two arms, two legs and four thousand hits.” As he amassed a healthy portion of those hits and helped power his Reds to baseball’s best record in the 1970s, Rose wielded and autographed this bat. Graded GU 8.5 by PSA/DNA, the Adirondack (35.6-oz/35”) “69A” block-letter lumber shows excellent game use with ball and stitch impressions about the barrel, as well as a handle crack and a black marker notation of “14” on the knob. Rose has signed in black marker (“8-9” strength) and added a personalization on the barrel. Also included is a 1986-1989 Louisville Slugger (32.6-oz/34-1/2”) “S2” promotional model signed and personalized by Rose (“8-9” strength). Individual full photo LOAs from PSA/DNA and JSA auction LOA.
